Baku. Elmin İbrahimov – APA-Economics. Tengizchevroil continues contacts with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) to launch transit of Kazakhstan oil through owned by Azerbaijani company Black Sea terminal in Kulevi (Georgia), reported BNE portal (www.businessneweurope.eu).

The terminal reported that the representatives of Tengizchevroil visited Black Sea terminal a couple of days ago.

They are interested in state and results of dredging work in Kulevi. The representatives of Tengizchevroil confirmed again willingness to transport oil through terminal, had known that it was already able to ship oil by tankers with carrying capacity of 80,000, the terminal said.

The terminal was able to receive tankers with deadweight of 40,000 tons til the completion of dredging work. It was planned that the terminal will be able to fulfill Tengizchevroil orders and transport 4 or 5 million tons of oil within a year.

The problem appeared because a ship was wrecked in the terminals channel as that vessel used to conduct dredging operations there. This ship blocked 20% of forwarder of channel.
