BP-Azerbaijan to commission new facilities at Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. Construction works at Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli have continued to progress and is slated for partial commissioning in the third quarter, said BP-Azerbaijan.
According to the report, works are under way on gas trunk system, H2S (Hydrogen Sulphate) removal facilities, an additional 7th oil heater, upgrade of air drying and compression systems and open water drains project.
The company said it recruited 500 people through construction contractors to complete the work on schedule. 70% of workers are Azeri nationals.
ACG participating interests are: BP (operator – 34.1%), Chevron (10.2%), SOCAR (10%), INPEX (10%), StatoilHydro (8.6%), ExxonMobil (8%), TPAO (6.8%), Devon (5.6%), ITOCHU (3.9%), Hess (2.7%).
