BP says Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli daily output will increase

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. During the first quarter of the year BP-Azerbaijan produced 738 000 barrels per day (about 9 million tonnes) from the Chirag, Central Azeri, West Azeri, East Azeri platforms and Deepwater Guneshli.

Of this, 114 000 barrels per day came from Chirag, 131 000 barrels from Central Azeri, 252 000 barrels from West Azeri, 142 000 barrels from East Azeri and 99 000 barrels from Deepwater Guneshli

”Our latest forecast is to produce an average of 702 000 barrels per day (34.6 million tonnes pa) from the five platforms in total for the full year.
Of this, 97 400 barrels per day is expected from Chirag, 117 900 barrels per day from Central Azeri, 255 000 barrels per day from West Azeri, 113 400 barrels per day from East Azeri and 118 000 barrels per day from deepwater Guneshli,” said the company.

The current total daily production is 850 000 barrels per day.

During 2008, BP-Azerbaijan produced a total of about 252 million barrels (about 34 million tonnes and around 688,500 barrels per day average) from the Chirag, Central Azeri, West Azeri, East Azeri platforms and Deepwater Guneshli.

Of this, 121 800 barrels per day came from Chirag, 196 000 barrels from Central Azeri, 209 300 barrels from West Azeri, 113 100 barrels from East Azeri and 48 300 barrels from Deepwater Guneshli, said the company.

ACG participating interests are: BP (operator – 34.1%), Chevron (10.2%), SOCAR (10%), INPEX (10%), StatoilHydro (8.6%), ExxonMobil (8%), TPAO (6.8%), Devon (5.6%), ITOCHU (3.9%), Hess (2.7%).
