Oil pumping through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan drops 1.1% in 1Q

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In total 11.7 million tons of oil was pumped through Azerbaijan’s network of pipelines in January-March, down 0.8% from a year ago.
The State Statistical Committee said the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline (BTC) took 73.4% of oil transportation, down 1.1% from a year ago.
Besides, 454 100 tons of Kazakh oil flowed via the BTC Pipeline in the first quarter.
Also, 4.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas was pumped via pipelines, up 28.2% on the same period last year.
Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum Pipeline took 1.6 billion or 33.7% of the gas transportation during this period.
