Azerbaijan oil output shrinks

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s oil output contracted by 2.1% year-on-year during the first quarter after oil prices plunged on world markets, said the State Statistical Committee.
However, a 13.7% increase in non-oil sector added value provided for a 4.1% rise in GDP to AZN 6.7 billion during January-March.
GDP per capita increased by 2.9% year-on-year to AZN 782 ($971.5).
