Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Head of the Department on work with regional administration and local self-governance bodies, Zeynal Naghdaliyev said in his statement to AZERTAC and APA that during the last meeting the president laid out significant requirements before heads of local executive authorities, telling them to serve people and solve their problems, and that they and their family members should behave modestly and be close to people. He noted that their activities will be evaluated based on these criteria.
“Complaints from the population as well as analyses reveal that some heads of executive authorities have not abided by the aforesaid. For this particular reason, the heads of the Lachin and Jabrayil executive authorities were dismissed from their posts under the relevant orders of President Ilham Aliyev. They failed to set up their activity in compliance with the requirements laid out by Mr President, showing negligence and indifference to the problems of citizens, treating people in an insincere and rude manner, and committing acts beyond humbleness,” he stressed.
Naghdaliyev said head of the Lachin and Jabrayil executive authorities demonstrated arrogance, impartiality, intolerance of criticism, indifferent to people’s fair demands. AS a result, they lost their reputation.
“These persons failed to justify the president’s confidence, precisely lost his confidence,” the department head stressed.
President Ilham Aliyev noted at the conference dedicated to the results of second year implementation of "The State Program on socio-economic development of the regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan” that no-one is untouchable, if certain high-ranking officials break the law and can't perform their duties, they will be punished.
