Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and U.S. President Donald Trump discussed recent developments in Syria, bilateral ties and a summit in Russia's Sochi during a phone call on Nov. 24, Hurriyet Daily News reported citing sources in Erdogan's office said.
At a summit in the southern Russian city of Sochi on Nov. 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin won the backing of Turkey and Iran to host a Syrian peace congress, taking the central role in a major diplomatic push to finally end a civil war all.
A written statement from Erdogan's office will be released later on Nov. 24, sources said.

U.S. President Donald Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will hold a phone conversation today.
“I will be speaking to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey this morning about bringing peace to the mess that I inherited in the Middle East”, Trump tweeted on Friday.
“I will get it all done, but what a mistake, in lives and dollars (6 trillion), to be there in the first place!” the U.S. president wrote.
