MP from Azerbaijani ruling party asks parliament to summon some ministers

Addressing the discussion on the revisal of the 2016 state budget at the parliament, Novruzov said ministers of economy, education, agriculture and others must attend the parliament’s session.

He mentioned that if any of those ministers are on vocation, their deputies need to be present at the meeting.

“Today’s meeting is focusing on the amendments proposed to the 2016 state budget. All in the country are interested in the budget. Finance Minister Samir Sharifov made a speech here about the expenses. However, this is not only the budget of Samir Sharifov and Elman Rustamov so that only they must attend the meeting. All have questions to those ministers. I have a question too. However, as they don’t attend the meeting I can’t ask them. The head of state sets new tasks before us. Such an approach of them, their absence in the discussion and their lack of interest in the budget is not right”, the MP said.

He asked speaker Ogtay Asadov to summon some ministers to the discussion on the amendments to the budget.

The speaker in turn noted that some of them are on a visit to Iran with President Ilham Aliyev.
