Azerbaijani president chairs meeting of Cabinet of Ministers

The meeting began with a minute of silence to honor the memory of Azerbaijani servicemen who heroically died while preventing the armed provocation of Armenian armed forces.

President Aliyev wished patience to the relatives of the martyrs and recovery to the injured.

The head of state said that in early April the Azerbaijani armed forces prevented another armed provocation of Armenians on the contact line of troops, the enemy was given a desired response and the military positions of Azerbaijan were further strengthened.

Stressing the importance of accelerating the development of the non-oil sector and creating new jobs, President Aliyev noted that the project of construction of social facilities, which is a considered a new initiative, will soon be launched in the capital and regional centers of the republic.

The head of state went on to add that this year special attention will be paid to the realization of the project of construction of more than 40 rural roads, the application of a unified tariff policy in transport corridors, the implementation of additional activities towards the establishment of a seaport in Alat and the development of agriculture and provision of food security.
