Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on holding a referendum on amendments to the country’s Constitution on September 26, 2016.
According to the order, the draft Referendum Act “On making amendments to the Constitution of Azerbaijan” will be put to a referendum on September 26, 2016, and it will be published by local media outlets.
Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission has been tasked to ensure that the referendum is held on the mentioned date, according to the order.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to take necessary measures for financing the referendum.
