Baku. Farid Mirzayev – APA. A campaign in connection with the upcoming referendum on making amendments to Azerbaijan’s Constitution will begin 23 days before the day of voting – September 3, reads the time schedule approved by the Central Election Commission for preparations and holding the referendum.
The campaign will end 24 hours before the start of the referendum, that is, September 25 at 8:00 pm.
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on July 26 on holding a referendum on amendments to the country’s Constitution on September 26, 2016.
Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission has been ordered to ensure that the referendum is held on the mentioned date, according to the decree.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to take necessary measures for financing the referendum.
