Eco-activists and representatives of NGOs continue their protest action on the Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits, especially the Kyzybulag gold and Demirli copper-molybdenum deposits, in the areas under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers, APA's correspondent reports from Shusha.
People voluntarily joined the action.
The participants of the action demand to stop the illegal looting of mineral deposits, have the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces, Major General Andrey Volkov, come to the area and listen to their demands.
Note that the action started yesterday morning. Despite the request of eco-activists and NGO representatives to meet, General Volkov does not come to the area. The soldiers of the Russian peacekeeping forces set up obstacles on the road and built a barrier in front of the participants of the action. This is why the road is closed.
