A special session themed “Washington Agreements: Triumph of Peace Diplomacy and Wise Leadership” was held during the extraordinary session of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.
During the session, members of parliament delivered speeches on the Washington Agreements' significance for Azerbaijan’s sovereignty, the opening of the Zangezur Corridor, and their contribution to regional cooperation.
Committee chairpersons and MPs assessed the agreements as a diplomatic success of President Ilham Aliyev and as a guarantee of peace in the region.
The session was considered important in terms of preparing for the ratification of the peace agreement in parliament and strengthening Azerbaijan’s international position.
The session concluded with the playing of the national anthem.
