Within the framework of the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty,” a conference dedicated to State Sovereignty Day was held in the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.
Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis Ziyafat Asgarov stated that new challenges are emerging and these must be addressed at the constitutional level.
Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev emphasized that the Constitution is one of the masterpieces of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, Fuad Huseynov, noted that today, as the people of Azerbaijan, we are experiencing the celebration and pride of the Great Return, which is the logical result of our historic Victory: “Favorable conditions have been created for the return of hundreds of thousands of our compatriots to their native lands. More than 50,000 of our compatriots have already been resettled in Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh. We are confident that our lands, which were destroyed by Armenian occupiers, will in the near future truly turn into a paradise – a place of peace and progress. Azerbaijan will present a new model to the international community regarding the post-conflict rehabilitation and reintegration of former internally displaced persons and refugees.”
