With the opening of an embassy in Bahrain, the number of Azerbaijan’s diplomatic missions will reach 93, MP Rizvan Nabiyev said during a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations held today, APA reports.
The lawmaker noted that of these missions, 70 are embassies, 9 are consulates-general, and 6 are permanent representations. “In 2026, the Milli Majlis will hand over the chairmanship of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly to Bahrain. There is strong cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bahrain,” he added.
