Azerbaijani parliamentarian participates in international event in Vietnam

The parliamentarian met with president of Global Summit of Women Irene Natividad, Minister of Women Affairs of Cambodia Chum Teav Ing Kantha Favi, the Secretary General of Egyptâ€™s National Council for Women Farkhunda Hassan, Minister of Laos and president of Women Union Susay Leudedmounson, Maldives Minister of Gender and Family Aishath Mohamed Didi, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Elizabeth Thabethe, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Vietnam Huynh Thi Nhan, head of Libyan delegation Huda Fathi Ben Aamir and head of Malaysian government. The parliamentarian gave information about the work done in Azerbaijan in connection with women, children and family issues and projects. Ganira Pashayeva spoke about the projects implemented in the field of family, women and childrenâ€™s issues on the initiative of Azerbaijanâ€™s First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva. She said that Armenian had occupied Azerbaijanâ€™s lands and one million of Azerbaijanis had been displaced. Speaking about the genocide committed by Armenians against Azerbaijan in 1918 and 1992 (Khojaly), the parliamentarian said that thousands of women and children had been killed atrociously, hundreds of captured women and children had not been handed over.
Ganira Pashayeva addressing the summit spoke about Azerbaijanâ€™s success and economic achievements after the country gained its independence.
