Araz Azimov meets UK Minister for Europe Jim Murphy

Baku. Tamara Grigorieva â€“APA. Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov has met with UK Minister for Europe Jim Murphy, Press-Service of the Foreign Ministry told APA. British official took interest in the points of Azerbaijanâ€™s integration into Europe and its general approach and said his country supported Azerbaijan to keep closer relations with Europe and widening and deepening of these relations had a strategic importance. Araz Azimov said Azerbaijan put forward policy of European integration within its national interests and took the way of stage-by-stage integration. He spoke about features of the region and touched upon the unresolved conflicts. He said solutions of the conflicts were important for the integration of regional countries and acceptance of territorial integrity as an imperative in these solutions was a necessary term. EU enlargement and extension of its relations with neighboring countries, as well as relations with NATO and cooperation between the alliance and non-member countries on combating threats for security have been discussed at the meeting.
