Vladimir Putinâ€™s tenure as president expires

Vladimir Putin visited 212 cities of Russia and 74 foreign countries during his tenure. He held 145 meetings with the heads of states and governments. The official website of the Kremlin contains 1409 speeches of the Russian president on foreign political relations. Vladimir Putin had his last meeting within the framework of the international meetings with Prime Minister of Greece Kostas Karamanlis on April 29. Along with personal meetings Russian president often had phone talks with the heads of foreign states. He had hundreds of such contacts with his foreign counterparts. Vladimir Putin last phoned President of Egypt. Putin congratulated his counterpart on his 80th anniversary. Russian president paid 192 state, official and working visits to 74 countries in 2000-2008.
