Baku. Elnur Mammadli-APA. “Central Election Commission will attach special importance to the cooperation with international organizations in the presidential elections in autumn, 2008 and will establish closer relations with these organizations,†Chairman of Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov said, APA reports. He said that special attention had been paid to the cooperation with international organizations in the previous elections.
“Political will of the country leadership is very important for holding democratic elections in all countries. Azerbaijanis can take pride in the political will demonstrated by the President for holding democratic elections. The country leadership attaches great importance to all the principles required for holding democratic electionsâ€, he said.
The CEC Chairman said the activity was observed in the society and parties in connection with the elections.
