Ali Hasanov: â€œAzerbaijani Government is studying the non-binding decision of the CE Committee of Ministers on Azerbaijanâ€

The department chief said that most of these recommendations would be taken into consideration in accordance with Azerbaijanâ€™s cooperation with the Council of Europe.
â€œWe approve all the recommendations in compliance with Azerbaijanâ€™s situation, serving the improvement of the ongoing processes in the countryâ€, he said.
As regards the recommendation on releasing three imprisoned journalists, Ali Hasanov noted that the report made by AGO Group highly appreciated pardoning of six journalists under the presidentâ€™s decree.
â€œThe document also recommends considering the issue on releasing three journalists within the power and making effective preparations for the presidential elections. All recommendations are being studied. All necessary measures will be taken to hold transparent and democratic electionsâ€, he said.
The department chief did not comment on the oppositionâ€™s statement on mass rallies.
