â€œArmenian: myth and realitiesâ€ - scientific-practical conference

Baku. Ramil Mammadli-APA. The Institute of Human Rights of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), ANAS Center of the Intellectual Development of Young People and the National Council of the Azerbaijani Youth Organizations have jointly organized scientific-practical conference entitled â€œArmenian: myth and realitiesâ€. Azerbaijan is one of the first countries warning the world about Armenian threat and keeping it on the agenda, said Rovshan Mustafayev, Director of the Institute of Human Rights, APA reports. Turkey also takes active part in this issue together with Azerbaijan. Recently Georgia and Israel have also become attentive to this issueâ€. Fuad Muradov, member of the Parliament said Azerbaijani young people shouldered more responsibilities in the struggle against the Armenian lobby. Israfil Mammadov, head of the department of Armenian studies, ANAS Institute of History, and former deputy minister of education of Armenia delivered speech about the â€œNew view on the Armenian genocideâ€. He said Armenians used false myth in their formation as a nation. â€œArmenian leaders based on the mythology applauded themselves as a powerful nation. Their propaganda came into action again in early 1980s. Armenian former president Robert Kocharian in his speeches in Khankendi in 1988 used this method to tan patriotism to the Armeniansâ€. Israfil Mammadov said Armenians are skilful to use the false â€œArmenian genocideâ€ to exist as a nation. â€œArmenian scientists and leaders were always pressing on society using three issues to dominate in the world. These are Armenian issue, myth of Great Armenia and so-called â€œArmenian genocideâ€ claim. These issues make Armenians able to avoid the division. However all these issues base on the falsifications and liesâ€. Other speakers at the event have also noted that Armenians are a big threat to the world and powers always use them.
