Baku hosts political consultations between Azerbaijani and Dutch Foreign Ministries

The delegation has met Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev and Araz Azimov, Deputy Foreign Ministers, as well as Rahman Mustafayev, department head of the Ministry. The guests were interested in ongoing process in the country and political-economic situation in the region, process of negotiations on the settlement of Armenia -Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno Karabakh, cooperation between the two countries on various fields and stated that Dutch companies had keen interests in Azerbaijan. Dutch delegation was informed about Azerbaijan’s priorities on foreign policy, measures taken in the direction of integration into Europe, economic development and cooperation on various fields between the two countries. The meeting stressed the importance of mutual visits for further expansion of the relations. The Delegation has also met Natig Aliyev, Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Power Engineering and Elshad Nasirov, Vice–President of SOCAR. They have exchanged views on oil-gas projects carried out in Azerbaijan, involvement of Dutch companies in these projects, importance of Azerbaijan and Caspian Sea as an energy supplier and transit country for the energy security of Europe. The guests were informed about the oil strategy of Azerbaijan and it was stressed that the expansion of agreement law between the two countries assumed great importance for the development of bilateral relations.
