Head of Azerbaijani Delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov attending the meeting told APA’s Europe bureau that current situation in Armenia and pre-election situation in Georgia had been mainly discussed at the meeting. No issue related to Azerbaijan was discussed at the first meeting of the PACE Monitoring Committee. The Monitoring Committee plans to hold two more meetings within the framework of PACE spring session. Discussions on Azerbaijan will be conducted at these meetings.
PACE Monitoring Committee Co-Rapporteur on Azerbaijan Andres Herkel told APA’s Europe bureau that the co-rapporteurs’ visit to Azerbaijan by the June session would possibly be discussed at the meeting.
