Ziyafat Asgarov: â€œThere is no pressure on Azerbaijan by international organizations to establish election constituencies on parity basisâ€

They think to repeat diversion this year as it was in 2000 and want to shock activity of election constituenciesâ€, Ziyafat Asgarov , First Vice-Speaker of MM said, APA reports
To him, amendments to Electoral Code do not envisage formation of election constituencies on parity basis.
â€œIt is impossible to establish the election constituencies on parity basis. We tested it in 2000, but opposition boycotted CIC and shocked activity of the body. We have established the constituencies basing on 2/3 principle. We cannot allow it again. We need normal, transparent, legal electionsâ€, he said.
Asgarov refuted that the sayings on international organizationsâ€™ pressure on Azerbaijan to establish the election constituencies on parity basis.
â€œThere is not any pressure on Azerbaijan by international organizations. Azerbaijan is an independent state and we are responsible for transparent elections, not international organizationsâ€, he said.
