Samad Seyidov: “PACE Monitoring Committee will make a report on Azerbaijanâ€

To him, Azerbaijan implements its commitments taken to the international organizations in time and decently.
“There are several problems in the development of the democracy. These problems should be solved within the interests of Azerbaijan. I am sure that these problems will be solved. Human Rights should be protected legally, but not by hunger strikes. I want the release of all journalists, but everybody is equal before the law and should understand his responsibilityâ€, he said.
Seyidov noted that the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan would conduct broad discussions on common situation before elections. PACE Monitoring Committee will make a report on Azerbaijan.
“Co-rapporteurs Andres Herkel and Eugenia Zhivkova will probably visit Azerbaijan before session in June. We support the discussions of problems on Azerbaijan within the framework of the Monitoring Committee. Several forces try to give these issues to other Committee or appoint new co-rapporteur in the Monitoring Committee. This is a destructive step and may cause tensity between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europeâ€, he said.
