â€œAgoâ€ Monitoring Group members meet heads of Azerbaijani opposition parties

To him, socio-political situation in Azerbaijan, implementation of Azerbaijanâ€™s commitments taken to the Council of Europe, ways out of current problems, change of situation have been discussed at the meeting. Jalaloglu noted that â€œAgoâ€ members were interested in oppositionâ€™s proposals for the change of process positively.
â€œWe stated which proposals can change the ongoing processes positively. But they did not take stance on the issues. They listened to our opinions attentively and noted for themselvesâ€, he said. The discussions also covered the presidential elections in Azerbaijan in 2008.
Musavat Party leader Isa Gambar, Azerbaijan Front Popular Party Ali Karimli, Umid Party leader Igbal Agazadeh and President of Public Forum for Azerbaijan Eldar Namazov have also attended the meeting.
