Denis Sammit: â€œAzerbaijan can link Europe and Asiaâ€

Tamara Grigorieva-APA. â€œAzerbaijan can play a role of link between Europe and Asiaâ€, said Denis Sammit, head of the Linx international organizationâ€™s Baku office at the conference â€œAzerbaijan and Europe: 2008â€, APA reports. Denis Sammit welcomed Azerbaijani Governmentâ€™s efforts to solve the media problems and urged to increase these efforts. He said Azerbaijan should use all opportunities to provide free and fair presidential elections in the country. Elkhan Nuriyev, director of Strategic Research Center under the President of Azerbaijan said at the conference the European countries were more critical about Azerbaijan than others. He said Azerbaijan made serious efforts toward the democratic development while Human Rights and democratic principles were roughly violated in neighboring Armenia.
