Baku City Executive Power did not allow protest action before UN Baku Office on anniversary of Kalbajar occupation

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“APA. Baku City Executive Power rejected the appeal of a group of displaced journalists to hold protest action before the UN Baku Office on April 2 on the anniversary of occupation of Kalbajar by Armenians. Organizing Committee of action told APA, city authorities sent a letter to the journalists on Monday considering the action as non-appropriate. The City Executive Power argued that according to 9th article of law on â€œFreedom of Assemblyâ€, mass action is suspended in 300 meters radius around the administrative buildings, but organizers said they were intending to hold action despite of the City authoritiesâ€™ rejection.
