PACE announces agenda of April session

Observation of presidential elections in Serbia, Armenia, Russia and Montenegro will be discussed in the session.
Slovak President Ivan Gašparovic will address PACE. Election of judges to the European Court of Human Rights will be held on April 15. Abuse of the criminal justice system in Belarus, European Muslim communities confronted with extremism, Statement by Mr Thomas Hammarberg, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights will be discussed in the session.
Mrs. Angela Merkel, Federal Chancellor of Germany and Mr Ján Kubiš, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Chairperson of the Committee of Ministers will address PACE during its spring session. Election of judges to the European Court of Human Rights may be held on April 16.
Address by Mrs. Yulia Tymoshenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine, Child and teenage suicide in Europe: a serious public health issue, Access to safe and legal abortion in Europe will be discussed.
After the address by Mr. Bernard Kouchner, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of France, parliamentarians will hear lectures on Promoting the teaching of European literature, situation of national minorities in Vojvodina and Romanian ethnic minority in Serbia during the 4th day of the session. Immigration from sub-Saharan Africa, Sustainable development and tourism: towards quality growth will be discussed during spring session.
