Book devoted to Sumgait events inspired by Armenians came out

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“APA. A â€œTragedy of Decadesâ€, a book devoted to the real reasons of Sumgait events in February, 1988 has been published in Russian. According to APA, Nurani, author of book providing international journalist investigation used the facts and materials, which were unknown earlier and memories of former KGB Chief Vladimir Kryuchkov and KGB General Filipp Bobkov and others. The author said organizers of Sumgait events should be searched in Moscow and Iravan. â€œArmenians lived in Sumgait had ties with â€œKrunkâ€ and â€œKarabakhâ€ organizations and they had been warned about the events beforehand. They sold apartments, drew money from the savings banks and left the cityâ€. The author has also delivered strong evidences about provocations of Armenian nationalists against their compatriots intending to involve Turkey in a war, as they claimed â€œfor salvation of Armeniansâ€ in XIX-XX centuries, as well as â€œintoxication epidemicâ€ inspired by the Armenian nationalists in their country in 1988-1989 and its legal investigation, which show that Armenian nationalists are able to sacrifice their compatriots for â€œArmenian dealâ€.
The book expected to be published in English in the near future.
