PACE former co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan regrets about non-approval of homosexual marriages

APA reports, A. Gross praised approval of homosexual marriages by members of the Council of Europe and regretted that only three member countries – Spain, Netherlands and Belgium recognized this right. The reporter urged to allow homosexual marriages and to recognize their rights for adoption of children. A.Gross’s report was seriously criticized and committee members said recognition of such rights would be contradictory to the morality. Azerbaijani parliamentarian Gultekin Hajiyeva has also sharply criticized A.Gross’s report.
