Elmar Mammadyarov receives delegation headed by EU Special Representative for Central Asia Pierre Morel

Azerbaijanâ€™s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has received the delegation headed by Pierre Morel, European Unionâ€™s Special Representative for Central Asia, Presidentâ€™s Press Service told APA. Pierre Morel thanked for the reception, gave broad information about his visit to the region and expressed his satisfaction with the level of the relations between European Union and Azerbaijan. Pierre Morel underlined that the implementation of New Neighborhood Policy would extend this cooperation and noted that Azerbaijan played a special role in ensuring Europeâ€™s energy security and diversification of energy sources.
Elmar Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan attached great importance to the relations with the European Union. The minister said EU and Azerbaijan had productive cooperation on energy sphere and underlined the importance of extending the cooperation. They exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.
