Department Chief of the President’s Office: “International union turns a blind eye to ongoing developments in Armenia†- EXCLUSIVE
“Some days ago, Robert Kocharian said “Azerbaijan considers that we have brought our armed forces from Nagorno Karabakh to Yerevanâ€. Thus, Kocharian confesses that Armenia deployed its armed forces in Azerbaijani lands – Nagorno Karabakh. He admitted it accidentally. On the other hand, Armenian Diaspora and people understand that Sarkisian uses military methods more skillfully,†he said.
Novruz Mammadov said separatist group led Armenia and the interests of Armenia and Armenian people were of no importance for this separatist group.
“They try to subordinate the issues related to the state and people their interests and have achieved it. The policy pursued by this group is military character and these adventurist politicians will often come across these issues,†he said.
The Department Chief touched upon the developments occurred after the elections in Armenia.
“These elections show that one of the separatist leaders speaking on behalf of population succeeded the other, sent army to crackdown innocent people to stop clashes announcing state of emergency. To their official reports, 8 people were killed during the developments in Yerevan. This means that the group in Armenian government wants to ensure their interests. They want to prove their legitimacy,†he said. Mammadov noted that separatist group was anxious about 2 issues.
“First, the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, they want to avoid this issue and divert the attention of world society, co-chairs and international organizations. Kocharian announced that the negotiations should be stopped, because presidential elections will be held in Azerbaijan and these elections will impede the negotiations. He understood later that his opinion was foolish. He has not right to speak on the behalf of Azerbaijan for the presidential elections. They began to cover up the political crisis and crimes committed against the population,†he said.
Department chief stated that international organizations had not seriously reacted to this issue.
“If there were any development in Azerbaijan, the whole world would attack us. But there is not any statement on the developments in Armenia. Armenian leadership demonstrated hypocritical actions and tries to divert attention of world society from the domestic crisis. Therefore, they violated cease-fire two days ago and tried to attack positions of Azerbaijani Armed Forces. But Azerbaijan had heavier response to the enemy. They hope that they will deliver hypocritical positions to the world society with the help of Armenian Diaspora and Armenians living abroad. But the world society is already aware of their hierocracy. Armenian Diaspora was oppressed by Armenian actions and majority is not satisfied with their policy and they know that the dissatisfaction appeared as a result of wrong policy in Yerevan, “he said.
