Mammad Alizadeh: â€We see prospects to join YAP due to same political courseâ€

Baku. Elnur Mamedli â€“APA. â€œWe are not opposition party and donâ€™t make steps contrary to the nationhood. Why YAP (New Azerbaijan Party) should oppress me? There is no need to raise this question. Someone intentionally inflate it, as if we are oppressed, but it is not true. We see same attitude with the pro-government partiesâ€, Mammad Alizadeh, leader of Democratic Azerbaijanâ€™s World Party, which handed the chairmanship of the council of pro-government parties over to YAP last week. He said claims that he tried to enlarge his party on the YAP base were groundless. â€œNobody has joined us form YAP, we donâ€™t accept them even they will ask. There is no point to do that, because we are another form of YAP. We see prospects to join YAP due to same political course. Our political activity based on the YAP program. M. Alizadeh confirmed the transfer of some opposition members particularly from Azerbaijan Popular Front Party and Musavat to DAWP. Alizadeh said that he had not seen a negative attitude from YAP yet and didnâ€™t exclude his independent steps further:â€I am the leader of political party, we have own Charter and the rights to the independent steps. We are suggesting the forms of healthy rivalry, strengthening, securing and playing important role in the building of civil society in Azerbaijanâ€.
