OSCE chairman-in-office arrives in Baku

He expressed hope the newly elected president of Armenia will give another opportunity for progress in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh problem.
He said he will try to be open-minded, objective and constructive in negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the settlement of the conflict.
According to him, Armenian leadership raised the issue on involvement of Armenian community of Nagorno Karabakh in the negotiations process.
â€œI heard about that when I met with Armenian politicians and leadership,â€ he said, adding that the OSCE Minsk Group will consider the issue.
He noted that involvement of Azeri community of Nagorno Karabakh in the negotiations is not under discussion now.
Asked whether he brought a new package of proposals on the peaceful settlement of the conflict, Kanerva declined to say something concrete, adding he will speak in details during a press conference he will give after meeting his Azeri colleague.
