APA reports that Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan also participated in the discussions. Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva attended the discussions as a guest. Ganira Pashayeva told APA that Recep Tayyip Erdogan also took a stance on Khojaly genocide. Prime Minister said that Armenians committed genocide against Azerbaijanis in Khojaly 16 years ago and Turkey condemns genocide. Recep Tayyip Erdogan underlined that Armenians, who allege that “Turks committed genocide against us”, should look at themselves in the mirror.
“Prime Minister said Turkish nation never committed genocide, Armenians committed genocide, and the happening in Khojaly is an example. Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on Armenia to release the occupied Azerbaijani lands, including Nagorno Karabakh. Prime Minister said that Armenians will achieve no results with this occupation,” she said.
Following the meeting, Ganira Pashayeva met with Turkish Prime Minister. The MP expressed her gratitude to Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his speech and assessment of Khojaly genocide. The parliamentarian also said Azerbaijani people are grateful to Prime Minister for his position on Karabakh issue while answering Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan in Munich.
