Sam Brownback: Economy and diplomacy will prevail in the U.S. policy

Speaking about fight against terrorism, Sam Brownback said the US recognized PKK as a terrorist organization.
â€œWe should do everything to stop financial flow to such organizations. The position of the US concerning this issue is obvious â€“ fighting against terrorism should be in the same way everywhere,â€ he said.
The senator said the US would continue cooperation with all the states, which are against terrorism, as well as with Turkey concerning PKK. Sam Brownback underlined that Azerbaijan sponsored terrorist organizations of its close neighbor Iran, and this posed threat for all.
Touching on the foreign policy of the US, the senator noted that economy and diplomacy will prevail in the policy of Washington. He agreed that political, not military decisions should be made for the solution of the problem in Iraq.
â€œThis problem should be solved in a political way, but it requires much work,â€ he said.
Asked which US presidential candidate is suitable for Azerbaijan, Sam Brownback joked â€œOf course I am,â€ and then added:
â€œI believe that John McCain will pursue strong foreign policy. I think that he is the only person among the present candidates who has real experience in foreign policy,â€ he said.
