Names of candidates for judgeship of European Court of Human Rights publicized

He mentioned that, Judicial Council made announcement in connection with nomination of candidates for judgeship of European Court of Human Rights. The process carried out transparently.
â€œThere were a lot of appeals. There were judges and representatives of NGOs. We discussed the issue and three candidates were nominated. One of them is Khanlar Hajiyev, judge of European Court and the others are Saedet Novruzova and Rovshan Ismayilov. Both of them are scientists and they know English language and European Convention perfectly,â€ he said. He expressed his hope that, there will not be problem on the candidates this time.
â€œWe would like them to be represented. Though we have professional and well-educated judges, there is language problem here,â€ he said. He touched upon renomination of Khanlar Hajiyev and added that, he is one of the well-known lawyers and knows international law very well.
