Most political parties have offices in Azerbaijan – INVESTIGATION
New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) has been provided with an office in 13, Bulbul avenue. Director of the party’s provision department Ilgar Aliyev said that the office has large rooms, meeting hall, speedy internet and network.
Azerbaijan Democratic Party has been renting the office in 13, Alashraf Alizadeh for 25 years. Along with Hurriyyat newspaper AZN 600 is paid for the office every three months.
Musavat Party is located on the first floor of a four-storey building in Darnagul settlement, Binagadi district. Head of the party’s Central Executive Board Arif Hajili said that the office has been allotted by the State Committee, they are located in the office along with Yeni Musavat newspaper and pay about AZN 1000 dues every month.
Party of Democratic Azerbaijani World has 150 sq. m. office in the building of Sattarkhan plant in 92, Tabriz street. Mammad Alizadeh said that AZN 10 is paid per square meter.
Co-chair of Azerbaijan Social Democrat Party Araz Alizadeh said the government has allotted an office for the party and the prices are satisfactory.
Citizen Solidarity Party’s office has also been allotted by the government and the rental is paid every month.
Deputy chairman of United Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Elchin Mirzabayli also said the State Committee has allotted the office for them. The party shares its office with Khalg cebhesi newspaper.
Modern Musavat Party has also been provided with a 20-room office. Chairman of the party Hafiz Hajiyev said that they paid AZN 22 for the office by the end of 2007 and will pay AZN 63 as from the new year.
Motherland Party pays AZN 1100 to state every month for using 300 sq/m headquarters.
Vehdet party rented office in Vidadi Street 89 along with Unity of Baku and villages and the condition is normal. Party head Tahir Karimli pays fewer rentals as the owner of the building is the member of their party.
Azerbaijan Liberal Party operates in 3-storey building in Hasanbay Zerdabi Street 78 a at present.
Classical Popular Front Party’s headquarters which is situated in Aga Nematullah Street 18 belongs to retail customer, party only pays utilities here.
Justice Party is located in the office in J. Hajibayli Street 2 and does not pay any rental.
Citizen and Development Party rented several rooms of the building in Shemsi Badalabayli Street 69. The residence belongs to one of the members of the Party and therefore rental is not more.
Democratic Reforms Party has located in the building in 65, Neftchilar Avenue. Head of press service of the party Ulkar Ismayilova said that they pay rental.
Umid Party rented private 1-storey building.
Islamic Party has located in the office belonging to one of the members of the party in Narimanov district and does not pay rental.
Open Society Party is located with the same office along with newspaper “Baku Zamanâ€. Deputy chief of the party Yagub Ababsov saying that party has 4 rooms stated that they did not appeal to the government regarding the headquarters as the organization has not yet been registered.
Azerbaijan Popular Front Party said that they are functioning without headquarters already a year.
Azerbaijan National Independence Party operates in small office in Nasimi district.
The solution of location of central bodies of political parties regulations of which has been registered on the article 5 of decision #148 of Azerbaijani Parliament on June 3, 1992 on the law on political parties was commissioned to the Cabinet of the Ministers. /APA/
