Azerbaijani MP: If there is Slavic University in Baku, University of Turkic Peoples should also be established

The parliamentarian noted that there is Slavic University in Baku and underlined the necessity of establishing University of Turkic Peoples. According to Adil Aliyev, there is a need for turkologists, scholars specialized in the history, culture and art of Turkic peoples.
â€œOpening branches of foreign institutes and schools raises concern in Azerbaijan. Foreign schools have 32 branches in Azerbaijan. There are a lot of private universities, schools and colleges in the country. Foreign textbooks are used in these schools instead of national ones. These branches resemble market more than a school. It seems as if our national education has been put up to auction. No opportunities should be provided for the schools training Nurcu, pro-Iranian and pro-Russian specialists, â€œunhealthyâ€ schools should be closed,â€ he said. /APA/
