Book â€œKhojali genocide: million signatures, one demandâ€? presented

The Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan (ACSDA) held the presentation of the book â€œKhojali genocide: million signatures, one demandâ€?, Vice- President of the Association Veli Alibayov introduced the book to the participants. He said that ACSDA held a campaign and collected one million signatures. A part of these signatures are gathered in this book, all of them are gathered in 16 books. Alibayov said that the book will be presented to international organizations, world parliaments and libraries. The list of 423 killed during the Khojali genocide was given in the book. Besides, the list of internationally wanted Armenian servicemen on Khojali genocide was noted in the book.
International Coordinator of the Association Aliyeva Gunel and expert Muslim Mammadov, member of editorial board, poet Musa Yagub gave information about the book. Director of History Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, MP Yagub Mahmudov stressed the importance of holding such events.
â€œIf Armenians attack us, we will take corresponding measures,â€? he said.
Political scientist Vafa Guluzadeh noted that Armenian government should pay compensation to separate citizens. He also said that even if we persuade European countries that Armenia is an aggressive country, they will not solve the problem.
â€œThese countries have warm relations with Armenia and they only offer peaceful solution. Peaceful solution is to yield the lands to Armenia,â€? he said.
Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) chairman AkIf Nagi said that that the problem can be settled only by war.
MP from Khojali Elman Mammadov told journalists that it is not right to publish 423 signatures in the book.
â€œ613 were killed in Khojali. Their list should have been given in the book. Therefore this can cause problems,â€? he said.
Khojali residents participating in the assembly also protested against this list.
Alibayov said that the names of killed, missing, captured children, women, girls and the old are included in this list.
â€œThe names of servicemen are not given in the book. The names of only civilians were presented in the book. Therefore the list consists of 423 names,â€? he said. /APA/
