ADP Congress Organizing Committee to remove members to participate in General Assembly meeting on Feb.30

Azerbaijan Democrat Party’s (ADP) Organizing Committee for Preparation to 9th Congress appealed to the members of former General Assembly on not to participate in the meeting under the name of General Assembly to be held on February 18, party’s press service told APA. Organizing Committee leadership stated that Assembly has been resolved by the item 8.2.4 of party Regulations. All the authorities except Central Control Inspection Committee have passed to OC.
“The participation of any ADP members in February-18 meeting under the name of General Assembly will be regarded as a violation of Regulations and attempt to break the party. They will be punished according to the Regulations�, the appeal reads.
ADP press service also told APA that a group of party members living in Europe have made a statement on the situation in the party. They asked party chairman Resul Guliyev to review his position and to avoid letting some swindlers control him. Former members of ADP Political Council Namig Ehedzade, Natig Jebiyev, and Sumgait party organization former chief Elshad Ziyadov and former officer of party executive board supported the statement.
ADP General Assembly chief Akif Shahbazov told APA that anyhow they will hold meetings on February 18. He said the meeting is held by the order of the chairman. ADP deputy chairman Yagub Abbasov and Baki-Kheber editor-in-chief Aydin Guliyev also stated that they have no intention to postpone the meeting. /APA/
