YAP makes statement on Ali Insanovâ€™s claims against party

The ruling New Azerbaijani Party (YAP) press service made statement on tried former Health Minister Ali Insanovâ€™s statement yesterday in the Court of Grave Crimes concerning the party, YAP press service told the APA. The party declares Insanovâ€™s statements to be untrue and considered the ex-ministerâ€™s moves as attempts aiming to cover up his grave crimes and politicize his arrest.
â€œYAP ensures transparency by making public its financial sources. YAP financial expenditures are formed only at the account of membership cards. No-one of the members of the party as well as Ali Insanov financed the party except of paying for membership cards. His ideas on financing the party are nothing but political blackmail,â€? statement says.
Press service did not accept the claims that Ali Insanov was arrested because of his critical ideas against of YAP administrative staff.
â€œAli Insanov has always made emotional speeches on stability existing in the country, dynamic development and social situation, especially, always stressed about the governmentâ€™s care on refugees and IDPs. Now Ali Insanov stands the court not because of his political position, but because of embezzlement and abuse of his powers.â€?
Ali Insanov is accused of abuse of power, bribery and embezzlement. /APA/
