National Security Minister receives US Assistant Secretary of Defense

Azerbaijani National Security Minister, General-Lieutenant, Eldar Mahmudov received the delegation led by Peter W. Rodman, the US Assistant Secretary of Defense for National Security Affairs, the ministry public affairs center told the APA.
Minister Mahmudov informed about the ongoing processes in realities and various threats and dangers in the region. He stressed terrorism and other dangerous manifestations of transnational organized crimes cause serious concern in the world.
Mr. Mahmudov said united efforts against this dangerous will be effective.
Azeri Minister thanked the partner states in the anti-terror coalition for the assistance to Azerbaijan in the fight against international terrorism.
Assistant Secretary of State highly appreciated Azerbaijanâ€™s efforts in the fight against terrorism. He stressed that the US supports Azerbaijanâ€™s territorial integrity and is interested in full restoration of its sovereignty. Mr. Rodman expressed pleasure with the elevation of cooperation between the two countries to high level.
US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne E. Derse also attended the meeting. /APA/
