Resul Guliyev: If ADP General Assembly approves its decision again, I’ll resign
The statement reads that only chairman has the authority to speak on behalf of the party. It is noted that the decision changing party’s political course in opposite direction without informing the chairman contradicts law and ethic norms.
“I contacted many times ADP Baku leadership at the eve of General Assembly meeting. They said that it is a technical meeting to set congress time, he said.
He called the decisions illegal and noted that deputies hadn’t sent the decisions to him.
“That’s why the assembly should be convened again and the issues must be discussed considering my opinion. If assembly approves the decision again, I’ll either accept it or resign, he said.
ADP Assembly chief Akif Shahbazov also made a press release today.
It is noted that according to the item 9.2 of the Regulation if the decision made by the assembly isn’t signed by the chairman, the decision is returned to the assembly. If it is not signed for the second time, the decision is adopted considering the judgment of Control Inspection Committee and becomes immediately effective. He said that the decision needs to be discussed again as Resul Guliyev didn’t sign it.
“General Assembly will hold meeting on the veto of the chairman, he said.
Organizing Committee member hesret Rustemov told APA that the chairman had been informed about the agenda of assembly. He said that assembly meeting had been convened by the initiative of Resul Guliyev and Akif Shahbasov had suggested the cooperation with the government.
“But we didn’t accept to cooperate with government and passed the decision on dialogue with it. Resul Guliyev was informed about these events. I cannot understand why he denies it now, he said.
He considers it impossible to discuss the decision again as the chairman may veto the decision within three days according to the Regulations. /APA/
