Azerbaijani President is first passenger of Tbilisi International Airport

The officials of the three countries, businessmen, Georgian Parliamentarians and intelligentsia took part in the ceremony. Making statement in the ceremony Georgian president said that the airport constructed by Turkish â€œTAVâ€? company is one of the best airports of Europe.
â€œThis is one of the best airports of Europe; even it is better than the airports in Brussels, Munich and other cities. Everything-hospital, school, hotel, and roads will be constructed on this level,â€? the president said.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made speech in the ceremony and estimated the newly-constructed airport as important construction project.
â€œWe want to deliver our energy reserves to European countries and restore energy security. The implementation of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum projects and signing of Baku-Tbilisi-Akhalkalaki-Kars Railway project is the reflection of friendship relations between our countries,â€? Mr. Aliyev said.
Turkey Prime Minister Rajab Tayyip Erdogan said that Georgia is developing rapidly in recent years.
â€œGeorgia is developing rapidly, reforms are carried out. â€œTepe Akfenâ€? company that constructed this airport will begin the construction works of Batumi airport soon. We will use Batumi Airport together with Georgia,â€? the premier said.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was the first passenger of Tbilisi Airport. After the opening ceremony President Ilham Aliyev flew from Tbilisi Airport to Azerbaijan. /APA/
