Nancy Pelosi avoids meeting with Abdulla Gul

Abdulla Gul met with Vice President Dick Cheney and Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs Stephen Hadley in the White House. Abdulla Gul told reporters that future development of Iraq, the draft law on alleged Armenian genocide and fight against terrorism were on focus at the meetings.
“The meetings were effective� he said.
Commenting on the submission of the bill on alleged Armenian genocide to the lower house of the US Congress Turkish Minister said President Bush’s team will absolutely do its best.
Gul will tomorrow meet with democrat Congressman John Murtha, who is said to have a great influence on Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.
Political circles in Washington think that Nancy Pelosi avoids meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister. The Speaker’s office in Washington told the APA Nancy Pelosi is not expected to meet with Abdulla Gul in the nearest three days.
Four pro-Armenian congressmen submitted the bill on the alleged Armenian genocide to the House of Representatives on January 30. /APA/
