Azerbaijani President made speech in Davos Forum

Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab opened the meeting. He expressed his gratitude to the participants. During his speech Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stressed the implementation of global energy projects in Azerbaijan and noted that it is important for the whole world. Noting that Azerbaijan’s role in energy security increases, the President mentioned the achievements in the sphere of energy and Azerbaijan’s economic potential. Later the heads of the delegations representing the US, Russia, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, Brazil, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Republic of Korea, Norway, China, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Belgium made speech. Most of the speeches were about economic development in the countries known as countries of oil and gas. The role of Azerbaijan in the sphere of energy security of Europe was highly appreciated in the speeches. The recent 100 years’ history of oil, transportation of energy deliveries to world markets, market regime and change of geopolitical state within investments were spoken about. Climate change and oil production, global energy security was also spoken about. The duties of the investors for managing the current geopolitical state in international energy sector, nationalization of energy sector in different regions and the measures to be taken by the European Union from the point of view of implementation and strengthening of energy security in this field were also spoken about at the meeting. /APA/
