Greece Embassy denies Nagorno Garabagh Republic representatives official visit

Greece Embassy in Azerbaijan denied the fact that vice-speaker Parliament Georgios Sourlas received the Foreign Minister of so-called Nagorno Garabagh Republic Georgi Petrosyan , Embassy told the APA. The Vice â€“ Speaker of the Greek Parliament Mr Sourlas met on private basis with the Vice â€“Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Mr Ovannisian, who was escorted by the Ambassador of Armenia in Athens, two members of the Greek- Armenian Community and two photographers.
â€œMr Sourlas has never met with Mr Petrosian, neither on official, nor on private basis. The Greek government remains firm on its position that the N/K conflict should be solved by peaceful means, thatâ€™s why it supports the direct negotiations between the two Presidents , as well as the efforts of the Minsk Group to this direction .Greece has always supported the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and will do so in the future.â€?
Azerbaijani Embassy in Greece also investigated the fact. Foreign Ministry Press and Information Policy department Chief Tahir Tagizadeh said that the Embassy denied the fact.
â€œGreek side made sure that Petrosyan did not take part in any meeting held in parliament and he came to Greece only at invitation of Armenian Diaspora,â€? he said. /APA/
