Azerbaijani Foreign Minister received Germany Bundestag members

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received Germany Bundestag members, Foreign Ministry Press service told the APA. The head of delegation, Germany Parliamentary delegation representative to PACE Rainder Shteenblock thanked for warm reception saying that this is his first visit to Azerbaijan and he had interesting meetings, which is of great importance getting more information about region countries. He said that Germany will chair EU next year stressing that Europe pays more attention to South Caucasus. Azerbaijani minister stressed that Azerbaijan and Georgia in South Caucasus region see the future of their country in the integration to the Europe, and both countries take necessary measures for it. Mammadyarov also said that Action Plan between Azerbaijan and EU will be adopted on November 13 this year. The minister mentioned EU trio recent visits Azerbaijan and said that they decided to sign memorandum on the development of cooperation on energy. Mammadyarov touched upon cooperation of Azerbaijan with NATO; several reforms are being carried out within Individual Partnership Operation Plan considered for next 10 years. Besides, the minister said that EU stressed the necessity of considering national values, cultural traditions and religious factor in the relation with region countries. Mammadyarov said that though Nagorno Garabagh conflict is frozen, nearly 300 people are killed during the violations of ceasefire. The minister said the international community should pay a special attention to the solution to the conflict. Other issues were also discussed in the meeting. /APA/
